Known for amazing food, Italian hospitality, and a beautiful, large ballroom, the Italo-Canadian Club is a not-for-profit cultural club and events space located in Kingston, ON. We believe events can be possible at any budget and have been holding exceptional events for over 50 years. Our club was originally built by the Italian community back in 1963 and has evolved over the years to meet the needs of our clients. Though we specialize in Italian cuisine, our chef has created a variety of menus to suit all cultures, occasions and budgets, and we will work with any dietary restrictions or menu requests you may have.

How many people can the hall accommodate?Our ballroom has a seating capacity of 300 guests and can accommodate 415 guests standing. Our smaller room, the Saletta, can seat up to 50 guests and hold 60 guests standing.

Is there parking? And is overnight parking allowed?We have our own large, free, private parking lot and encourage guests to leave their vehicles in our parking lot overnight to prevent impaired driving. Safety first!

How much is the deposit and is it refundable?We ask for a deposit in the amount of the venue rental package you select, or $1000. Ex. If you select our half day Saletta venue rental package, the rental fee is $585, therefore the deposit if $585. If you are holding a wedding, the rental fee starts at $2950, so the deposit is $1000. Deposits are non-refundable, however in some cases, the deposit can be transferred to an alternative date or used for an alternative event/food order if enough notice is given.

How does the bar work?We are a licensed establishment with our own stocked bar and bartenders. We do not allow outside alcohol to be brought in, with the exception of homemade wine. (If you bring in homemade wine, you will need to purchase a Special Occasion Permit and there is a corkage fee per bottle.) When it comes to running the bar, there are countless options: cash bar, open bar tab, flat rate per person, drink tickets, you name it! As we are the ones stocking the bar, all bar sales made are those of the Italo-Canadian Club of Kingston.

How do gratuities work?All our packages are subject to 15% gratuities and 13% tax. All gratuities are given to and split between the hard-working event staff (servers, event coordinators and kitchen staff).

Do you do food tastings?We offer a complimentary food tasting to wedding clients who have completed the booking process (signed contract & deposit paid) and will be offering a plated dinner to their guests.
